Cast & Crew of Narnia 3 Talk About Dawn Treader
What a day of interviewing the cast and crew of the latest installment in The Chronicles of Narnia film series gave us a glimpse into the making of this addition to the trilogy. The characters behind the characters. The potential impact of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader can have when it hits theaters next Friday, Dec. 10.
C.S. Lewis, the series’ famous author, would be proud of the film, according to his stepson and friend Douglas Gresham. An executive producer for the franchise, Gresham is confident “Jack” would enjoy seeing his stories told in a quality way on the big screen. That is exactly what this cast and crew have succeeded in doing. This new version of Lewis’ adventure tale is filled with excitement and pulls you in, engaging you with the characters on a much deeper level than the previous film, Prince Caspian.
An interesting point in the interview with Gresham was his remarks on how the Narnia stories have impacted people’s lives. And though Gresham did not name names.
In a press conference yesterday afternoon, the distinguished panel – including Liam Neeson (voice of Aslan), Ben Barnes (King Caspian), Skandar Keynes (Edmund), Georgie Henley (Lucy), Will Poulter (Eustace), and others – shared their perspective on a novel some of them read when they were young, how it was to work on the film with director Michael Apted (a crew change from the first two films), and what they’ve kept as mementos from the set. Fully embracing a more mature Caspian, actor Ben Barnes revealed he has a replica sword from the Dawn Treader film at home.
Stay Tuned more to come...
